I think we can all safely agree on the fact that Deepika Padukone is a fabulous dresser and she makes sure to impress with each one of her appearances. But there was a noticeable increase in edginess in Deepika’s style statements ever since she started promoting her upcoming Hollywood debut film, XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage. From goth lips to dramatic eyes to sultry bralettes and sexy thigh-highs, we saw them all. So this latest appearance of Ms Padukone at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2016 came as a refreshing surprise as the diva was back in her cute and classy element.

Here take a look…

What she wore

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika sported a pretty, floral-sequined sheer midi (lined with a solid, of course) with a high, victorian neck and long sleeves from Bibhu Mohapatra‘s SS17 collection.

Shoes and accessories

With her blush-toned outfit, Deepika wore a pair of classic tan Christian Louboutin pumps. A pair of beautiful, drop earrings by H.Ajoomal and a pair of delicate rings, one for each hand, by Anmol Jewellers completed DP’s red carpet ensemble.

Hair and makeup

For the night, Deepika seemed to have teamed with someone new (for her), Namrata Soni. The outcome, however, is as strikingly delightful as ever. Namrata kept the cutsie vibe going with a simple half do and rounded off the actress’ look with delicately lined eyes and beautiful pink lips.

Cute, simple and classy! That’s all it takes to describe Deepika’s ensemble from last night. While the look itself is a beautiful one, I think what’s working more in favour of Padukone is the fact that it’s been so long since we last saw Deepika doing cute. Kudos to her and her stylist!
