Deepika Padukone has done it! Priyanka Chopra has done it! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has done it! Kareena Kapoor Khan has done it too but, trust me when I say, none of these stylistas nailed the saree look quite like Sonam Kapoor. The actress recently attended a press con as she joined hands with the Fight Hunger Foundation and ACF in support of their initiative against malnutrition in the country. For the do, Sonam decided to drape the six yards while also have some fun with the latest fashion trend of the season… head-to-toe single print!

Quick details of Sonam’s ensemble…

What she wore

The actress sported a black Masaba Gupta saree with a quirky white print all over that she teamed up with a matching, full-sleeve, high collar blouse looking all kinds of chic.

Shoes and accessories

Sonam continued to rock the monochromatic theme and paired up her outfit with a pair of pretty pearl earrings. The only thing that broke the black-n-white monotony here was her solid, maroon clutch.

Hair and makeup

Sonam’s straight tresses were left down in a sleek do, which successfully avoided any clashes with her black-n-white saree. Dramatically winged eyes and nude, glossy lips finished off her look.

Who would have thought that ‘quirky’ and ‘chic’ could ever be used to define a saree, eh? I have to admit I was surprised as I used the terms fun, trendy, chic and quirky to describe Sonam’s saree. Not only does the actress have me sold into going head-to-toe single print, but has also reinstated the fact that there’s no fashion fad she can’t pull off. While I’m still rummaging through the style dictionary for more impactful words than ‘stunning’ and ‘gorgeous,’ you’ll just have to make do with them.
