One must understand that dandruff is nothing but a condition of your scalp where dead skin cells are produced because of dry or itchy scalp.   1. Yogurt 

It is often seen that the yeast in the scalp leads to inflammation. Hence, in order to combat the yeast an encounter with friendly bacteria such as probiotics can help you get rid of dandruff. For this recipe, just use a small bowl of plain yogurt and bathe your hair with it. Let it sit on your scalp for a good 35-30 mins before rinsing it off with a shampoo. Packed with salicylic acid, aspirin is even part of many over-the-counter available medicated dandruff shampoos. For this procedure, just crush two aspirins together into a fine powder and add it to two to three squeezes of shampoo in your hand. Let it sit on your scalp for 1-2 minutes before completing rinsing off the shampoo.

3. Fenugreek Pack

Fenugreek seeds are magical Indian seeds, which are easily available in our households. Not only do they help in making our metabolism strong, but they are also an excellent remedy for keeping dandruff at bay. Just soak some fenugreek seeds in water overnight, drain the leftover water in the morning and mash the softened seeds into a fine paste. Apply this paste all over your hair and let it sit for about an hour or so. Rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Within two to three applications, you will see a visible difference in your dandruff occurrence.

4. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is an excellent choice for hair as it is loaded with antifungal, antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps in effectively moisturising your hair, working right at the root cause of dandruff. A few drops of tea tree oil when added to your shampoo bottle can help you in significantly improving the severity of your dandruff.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

The acidity of apple cider vinegar helps in changing the pH of your scalp, making it harder for yeast to grow and hence keeping dandruff at distance. For this recipe, just mix together a quarter cup apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup of water in a spray bottle and spritz it on your scalp. Keep your damp hair wrapped around in a towel and let it sit for an hour or so, post which wash your hair as usual. Do this twice a week and allow apple cider vinegar to treat the problem of dandruff and hair fall effectively.

6. Baking Soda

This anti-fungal remedy will help in not only exfoliating your scalp, but it will also aid in reducing redness and itching. Just mix together some baking soda into your shampoo and wash your hair with it to derive its maximum benefits.
