Get the look: Spunky Smoky Eye For A Night Out
Smoky eyes are timeless. Just how you can’t go wrong with a classic red lip, you can’t really go wrong with smoky eyes either. The striking smolder has always been a red carpet favourite for celebs and has never gone out of style. If you’re looking to go slightly edgy with a smoky eye, this look is perfect for you. Here’s what you need to do to get that flawlessly blended smoky eye and make every head turn at the party you’re at.
It’s winter time so moisturize your skin well as the weather is pretty dry. Prep your skin with moisturizer mixed with the tiniest bit of an illuminator for a dewy finish. Prep your lips too with a hydrating lip balm.
1.Use a foundation with a satin finish if you want your skin to look dewy and healthy in this dry weather.
2.Contour well using a cream contour palette as you want for Kardashian like cheekbones.
3.Correct and Conceal your face and set it with powder.
4.Strobe the high points of your face for a radiating finish. (Cheeks, temples, cupid’s bow, brow bone) A champagne gold highlighter works well on Indian Skin.
5.Apply a breezy bronze blush for a hint of colour on your face.
Your brows need to be on fleek when you’re opting for a smoky eye. It will add to the smoulder and make the top half of your face look more intense. Fill in your brows well to add that much-needed definition to your makeup look.
- Apply black kohl all over your eyelid. It is okay to be untidy. The Kohl is just there to act as a cream base for your eyeshadow to look more intense. Blend just the edges of the eyes using a fluffy blending brush.
2.Apply black eyeshadow on top of the black cream base to set it. Pack the colour on well and blend just the edges for the smoky effect. Go in for a cat-eyed shape if you want to make it extra edgy.
3.Blend blend blend blend blend. Blend until you think it looks flawless.
4.Apply some black eyeshadow on your lower lashline using a pencil brush.
5.Pop the eyes by applying a light mix of gold and silver eyeshadow in the middle of your lid. You can use the same eyeshadow and apply it on the inner corner of your eyes and under your brow bone using a pencil brush to make it pop even more.
6.Curl your lashes and finish with generous coats of Mascara.
7.For an added bit of spunk and glamour, stick some shiny black stones with duo glue along the outer edges of your eye.
Since your eyes and brows are gonna be super intense and dark, you wanna tone it down on your lips. Use a matte nude lipstick to balance of the entire look.
- Outline and fill in the entire lip with a lip liner to prevent your lipstick from bleeding.
2.Apply two coats of your favourite nude lipstick in a satin finish.
Tie a messy bun to complete this. Straighten your locks to perfection and centre part your hair. Use a good heat protecting spray before you straighten your hair and a good setting spray for your finishing touches. Leave a few strands of your hair out front to frame your face.
Doing a smoky eye could create quite a mess as there is bound to be some fallout from the black eyeshadow you’re patting on. If you’ve already done you’re base before your eyes, throw in a whole lot of setting powder on the under eye area before doing your smoky eye. All the fall out that will sit on the powder later can easily be dusted off with a brush without leaving any black smears on your base.
